At 11plusschool, we are delighted that over 170 pupils met the expected standard in all 3 subjects in the Halifax Grammar Schools 11+ exam in 2025.

Our resources
At 11Plus School, all of our teaching resources are created in-house by experienced teachers specifically for our pupils. Rather than relying on published workbooks or generic materials, we carefully design lessons, practice questions and homework to reflect the style, challenge and skills needed for the 11+ examinations. This allows us to adapt resources to the needs of our children, respond to areas of difficulty quickly and ensure our teaching remains fresh, targeted and engaging.
Meet the standard
In 2025, the Halifax Grammar Schools changed the way they reported the results for the 11+ exam. Children had to meet the required standard in all 3 subject areas (Maths, English and Creative writing) to be in with a chance of being offered a place at one of the grammar schools.
170 meet the standard
In September 2026 nearly half (170 out of 360) of the Year 7 places at the Halifax grammar schools will be taken by 11plusschool students.
1370 placed
11plusschool has a proven track record of success – placing 1370 students in the Halifax grammar schools from the last nine exams.
